About the Heart

THANK YOU for your desire to support the ministry of Calvary Chapel Somerset West.

From God's Word, we see that giving is a matter of the heart (2 Corinthians 9:7). God's desire is that we honor Him with our possessions and bring to Him our firstfruits (Proverbs 3:9-10).

One of the reasons why we don't take up an offering at our services, is because we truly believe that giving to the LORD should be from a cheerful heart, and not out of compulsion.

May God bless you as you give to Him.

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
